WOMEN'S CANCER RESEARCH FUND
The Women’s Cancer Research Fund (WCRF) mobilizes the influential entertainment community to raise critical funds to support cancer research. Founded by Jamie Tisch, Quinn Ezralow, Rita Wilson, Kate Capshaw, Kelly Chapman Meyer, Marion Laurie and Anne Douglas, WCRF is a fundraising powerhouse that has helped move the needle forward by funding innovative cancer research—most notably, the Breast Cancer Biomarker Discovery Project.
WCRF’s exciting new collaboration with BCRF will allow their impact to go further in its ability to fast-track more effective approaches to the study and early diagnosis of women’s cancers.
BREAST CANCER RESEARCH FOUNDATION
The mission of the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) is to prevent and cure breast cancer by advancing the world’s most promising research.
BCRF has raised more than $600 million and funded 9,736,960 hours of research since 1993, making it one of the largest non-governmental funders of breast cancer research in the world.
This year, BCRF has committed nearly $57 million in research, to support over 240 researchers at leading medical institutions across six continents.
By spending 91 cents of every dollar on research and public awareness programs, BCRF remains one of the nation’s most fiscally responsible nonprofits. It is the only breast cancer organization with an "A+" from CharityWatch, and has been awarded Charity Navigator's highest rating of four stars 14 times since 2002.
